Google Business Profile Management for Law Firms

Ongoing profile optimization, posting, review response and map pack ranking work.

For a firm serving local clients, the Google Business Profile is frequently the highest converting asset you own. It sits above the organic results, it carries your reviews, and a large share of the people who find it call directly from the listing without ever visiting your website.

It is also the asset most firms set up once and never touch again. Profiles decay: hours drift, categories become wrong, competitors overtake you on review velocity, and spam listings in your market outrank you until somebody reports them.

Getting the profile right

We start with the fundamentals that determine whether Google understands what your firm is: the correct primary category, supporting secondary categories chosen for the queries you want rather than for how they sound, complete service listings with real descriptions, service area configuration that matches how you actually practice, and attributes such as veteran owned, wheelchair accessible and languages spoken.

Your name, address and phone are then matched character for character to what appears on your website and in every directory listing. Mismatches are one of the most common causes of underperformance in local search and one of the easiest to fix.

Reviews without breaking the rules

Review count, review velocity and the words inside reviews all feed local ranking. We build the request into the moment a matter closes, point it at your short review link, and coach your team on asking in a way that produces text rather than a bare star rating.

We respond to every review, positive and negative, in language that stays inside confidentiality obligations. A response to a negative review that reveals anything about a representation is an ethics problem, so those responses acknowledge, decline to discuss specifics, and move the conversation offline.

We do not add review or rating schema to your website. Google disallows self serving review markup on your own site, and it can trigger a manual action rather than a rich result.

Posts, photos and the appointment link

Profiles that publish regularly hold ranking better than profiles that sit still. We post weekly, use the photography from your production day rather than stock imagery, and keep the appointment field pointed at your dedicated booking page so a click from the map goes straight to a live calendar rather than to a contact form.

We also monitor the questions and answers section, where prospective clients ask things publicly and, if you leave it unattended, competitors and strangers answer for you.

Defending the listing

Legal is one of the most spam heavy categories in local search: virtual offices, keyword stuffed business names and listings at addresses where no attorney practices. Those listings take rankings from firms that follow the rules. We monitor your market, file redressal reports against violators, and watch for suspensions and unauthorized edits to your own profile.

Frequently asked questions

Why is our firm not showing in the map pack?
The usual causes are proximity to the searcher, an incomplete or miscategorized profile, thin review volume compared with competitors, inconsistent listings elsewhere on the web, or spam listings outranking you. The audit identifies which of those applies in your market.
Should we hide our address if we work from home or virtually?
If you do not serve clients at your address, Google requires you to hide it and operate as a service area business. Displaying an address where you do not meet clients risks suspension.
How do we handle a false or unfair review?
We flag it against Google's policies where it violates them, and we respond publicly in a way that stays inside your confidentiality obligations. Most prospective clients read the response as closely as the review, and a measured reply frequently does more good than removal would.
Can you manage profiles for multiple offices?
Yes. Multi location firms need distinct profiles with genuinely distinct content and matching location pages on the website, which we build and maintain together.
