Service

Law Firm SEO Services

Practice area pages, city pages and local search work that compounds instead of stopping when the budget stops.

Search traffic is the only channel that keeps producing after you stop paying for it. It is also the slowest, which is why so many firms abandon it around month four, right before the work starts to pay. Our job is to make the compounding visible early enough that you keep going.

We do search engine optimization for law firms exclusively. The map pack behaves differently for legal queries than it does for restaurants, the content standard is higher because Google treats legal advice as a subject where accuracy matters, and the linking opportunities that work for other industries mostly do not exist for attorneys.

The page architecture that actually ranks

A firm with one page listing eight practice areas competes for none of them. Search engines rank pages, not firms, and a page that tries to cover estate planning and criminal defense at once is a weaker answer than a page about either one.

We build a page for every practice area, a page for every city you genuinely serve, and a hub structure that passes authority from your homepage down to those pages and back. Location pages are written from real local knowledge, not a template with the city name swapped, because near duplicate city pages get filtered out of the index and can suppress the rest of the site.

  • One indexed page per practice area with its own title tag and meta description
  • City pages written individually, never templated
  • Internal linking from every hub to its children and back to your booking page
  • Clean URL structure with a self referencing canonical on every page

Local search and the map pack

For most firms the map pack is worth more than the organic results below it. Ranking there is driven by proximity, prominence and relevance, and only two of those are inside your control. We work the ones that are: a fully completed Google Business Profile with the right primary and secondary categories, service descriptions written for the queries you want, regular posts, photographs with meaningful file names, and a steady flow of reviews that mention the service and the city.

We also keep your name, address and phone identical everywhere it appears, down to the abbreviation style. Inconsistent listings are one of the most common and most fixable reasons a firm underperforms in local results.

Content that answers what clients actually type

People do not search for legal terminology. They search for what happened to them. Somebody whose mother died without a will does not search for intestate succession, they search for what happens if there is no will, and the firm whose page uses their words is the firm that gets the click.

We build the topical map from real query data in your market, then write pages that answer the question completely and end with a clear next step. Every page carries an FAQ block marked up with FAQPage schema, matching the visible text word for word, and links out to two or three related pages so a visitor with a question ends up on the page that converts.

Technical foundations and Core Web Vitals

Most of the technical wins in a legal site are unglamorous: pages that load in under two and a half seconds on a mobile connection, images served in modern formats, no layout shift as the page settles, schema that tells Google your site and your Business Profile are the same entity, an XML sitemap that stays current, and a redirect map so nothing that already ranks ever returns a 404.

We also enforce accessibility to WCAG 2.1 AA. Selling marketing to attorneys from a site that fails a contrast check is both a credibility problem and an exposure you do not need.

Reporting you can act on

You get a monthly written review covering rankings for the terms that matter, organic traffic by page, map pack visibility, calls and form fills attributed to organic search, and what we are doing next. We do not send an automated dashboard export and call it a report.

Frequently asked questions

How long does law firm SEO take to work?
Meaningful movement in competitive legal markets generally takes six to twelve months, with early signals in local map results sometimes appearing within sixty to ninety days. Anyone promising first page rankings in thirty days is either bidding on ads or targeting terms nobody searches.
Do we need city pages if we only have one office?
Usually yes, if you genuinely serve those cities and can write something true and specific about each one. If all we can produce is the same page with the city name swapped, we skip it, because near duplicate pages hurt more than they help.
Is SEO better than Google Ads for a law firm?
They do different jobs. Ads buy visibility today and stop the day you stop paying. Search work builds an asset that keeps producing. Most firms we work with run ads for immediate case flow while the organic work matures, then rebalance the budget as organic volume grows.
Who writes the content?
We do, and your firm approves everything before it publishes. Attorneys catch the substantive errors a writer will not, and that review step is what keeps the pages accurate enough to rank in a subject area Google scrutinizes closely.
Will you build backlinks?
We pursue links that a real person would follow: legal directories that matter, bar and association profiles, local sponsorships, press coverage and the occasional guest contribution. We do not buy links or use private blog networks, both of which put your domain at risk.
